Joan L. Butler, Bellefonte, passed away March 11, 2014 at home after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Joan was born November 6, 1956 in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Cora Jean and Harold I. Meyer. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Butler, two brothers, Harold Meyer and wife Cindy of Pleasant Gap, and James Meyer and wife Helen of Howard and her beloved little dog Jeannie.

She was a member of the Undine Fire Company #2 of Bellefonte for many years where she enjoyed spending time with her fire company brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to the Brookside Wesleyan Church, 403 Bush Hollow Road, Julian, PA 16844.
