Joan M. Knepp, age 80, of Lemont, passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center on December 29th 2022. Born on June 9th 1942, in Houserville PA, She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Clara (Houtz) Knepp. She is survived by a son Darrel and his wife Billie Jo(Miller) Knepp of Snow Shoe, 3 grandchildren Ryan (Jamie), Shannon (Mathew), and Erin, and 8 great-grandchildren, and her brother John Knepp of Martinsburg. Proceeded by death are her beloved siblings Harold(Jack), Rodney, Marvin, Kenneth(Ken), James(Jim), Lois Smith, Jean Rhodes, and Sandy Smith, 1 grandchild Nathan Knepp.

Joan was a graduate of State College Area High School. She retired from Penn State University State College. She was also employed at  Penn Hi Boy Restaurant, Bi Lo Grocery Store. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and spending time with her four-legged companion JellyBean.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday January 4th, 2023 from 6pm-8pm at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home 1034 Benner Pike State College, PA 16801. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday January 5th, 2023 at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at the Centre County Memorial Park.
