Obituary

Joanne Marie Myers, 72, of Centre Hall, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 11, 2006, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
She was born May 20, 1934 in Potter township a daughter of the late Alta May Bilger.
She was married to Pastor Aaron Boyd Myers who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Aaron B. Myers III of State College and his children Aaron B. IV, Heather and Brandon; Patrick L. Myers and his wife Kelly A. and their daughter Shanan of Centre Hall; Matthew D. Myers and his wife Heather of Pittsburgh and their children Ian and Kate; three daughters, Peggy L. Walk of Harrisburg and her children, Marie, Roger Jr, and Becky; Sally J. Frehn and her husband Byron Joel of Huntingdon, and their children Joel and Gunther; and Mary B. Caldana and her husband Barth of Bellefonte, and their children Kati and Sara; and one great grandchild, Amber.
A brother Gerald Bilger preceded her in death.
Joanne graduated from Centre Hall Potter High School receiving a perfect attendance award for never having missed a day of school. In high school she was active in sports winning an award as a softball player and was also active in band, playing the Clarinet.
She enjoyed raising flowers, gardening and bird watching, but her family including her grandchildren and great grandchild were her real priority and joy in life.
Mrs. Myers was currently associated with Calvary Bible Church on Centre Hall Mountain. Through the years she was involved in various gospel ministries programs including tract ministries and playing the organ and piano for church services at New Testament Baptist Bible Church, her late husband's church.
Friends will be received from 11:30 a. m to 1:30 pm. Saturday, August 19, at Calvary Bible Church 600 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 1:30 p. m. at the church with the Rev. Jack Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Gap Lutheran Cemetery.
