Obituary

John F. "Jack" Brown, 67, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at his residence.
Born on December 18, 1942 in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Paul W. and Madeline E. (Lucas) Brown.
On January 3, 1964 in Aaronsburg, he married the former Jean C. Hazel, who survives at home.
He had previously attended Bellefonte Area Schools.
In 1997, he retired as an Equipment Operator from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation with over 35 years of service.
He was a member and served as a trustee at the Milesburg United Methodist Church and also was a member of the American Black and Tan Coon Hunters Association.
Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren; raising, showing, and hunting with his coonhounds; and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Davidson (Greg) and their sons Andrew and Nathanael of Bellefonte; one son, John F. Brown, Jr. and his fianc Sherri and her sons Branden and Bryan Jury of Julian; three sisters, Pearl Neshteruk of Port Matilda, Anna Mae Rupert of Lewes, DE, and Doris Struble (Fred) of Bellefonte; two brothers, Paul W. "Bill" Brown (Marge) of Pleasant Gap, and Robert J. Brown (Joyce) of Spring Mills.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010, beginning at 11 AM at Milesburg United Methodist Church, 301 Turnpike Street, Milesburg.
Interment will be at Zion Cemetery, Walker Twp.
