John (Skid) Edward Blazer, 57, of Centre Hall, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Centre Crest.
Born on August 11, 1954 in Bellefonte, he is a son of Joanne Wert Blazer of Centre Hall and the late Philip Henry Blazer.
John was a 1973 graduate of Penns Valley High School.
He was employed as a workshop worker at Skills, Inc. of State College.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, and was a Charter Member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 779 in Centre Hall, as well as a social member of Post 779.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, James L. Blazer and his wife Penny of Spring Mills, and Philip H. Blazer Jr. and his wife Joanne of Bellefonte and two nephews, Cody Blazer of Bellefonte and Levi Blazer of Ann Arbor, MI
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, one brother, Robert W. Blazer and by a nephew Adam Blazer.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Friends will be received in the Ash Fellowship Hall of the Church immediately following the services. Burial will be private at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall.
