Joseph D. Boughton 25, of Shippensburg, formerly of State College, died suddenly as a result of a severe acute Asthma attack on Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at the Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA.
He was born May 7, 1978 in Groton, Conn. a son of Craig D. and Doris L. Steck Boughton who survive in State College. On May 25, 2002 he married Janice L. Warner who survives at home.
Joe was a 1996 graduate of State College High School and a 2001 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of science degree in business.
He was employed a a manager for Enterprise Rental Corp.
He was a member of Delta Phi Fraternity.
The out of doors and woodworking were among the things he enjoyed most.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother Jeremy D. and his wife Caroline, and a niece Juliette Boughton of Pittsburgh, and his maternal grandparents Joseph and Wilma Steck of Sandy Lake, PA.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p. m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. Monday, September 29, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul D. MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Houserville Cemetery, Houserville, PA
