Josephine M. Chambers, 67, of Snow Shoe, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
She was born in Clarence on May 16, 1939 to the late Thomas and Christine Skernchak Koleno.
She was previously married to the late Roy David Chambers who preceded her in death on February 4, 2002.
She was a member of the Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Church in Clarence.
She was a homemaker.
She was a graduate of the first graduating class of the Bald Eagle Area High School in 1957. Her nickname was "Coke".
Her hobbies included flower gardening and baking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and listening to their experiences through life. She loved to follow the Bald Eagle Area Lady Eagles softball team while her granddaughters were playing.
She is survived by two daughters, Roslyn Noll (Franklin) of Wingate, and Karen Stauffer (Joseph); two sons, Roy A. Chambers (Bobbi Jo) of Snow Shoe, and Eric Chambers of Snow Shoe; five grandchildren, Troy Walk, Danielle, Michelle, and Derek Noll, and Nathaniel Chambers. She was known to her grandchildren as Gram, BaBa Jo, and Grammy Jo; one sister, Susan J. Fye of Moshannon; and three brothers, Frank Koleno of Snow Shoe, Andrew Koleno of Clarence, and George Koleno of Olmsted Falls, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Amanda Noll; four sisters, Agnes Allen, Ann Bosak, Mary Bucha, and Christina Koleno; and four brothers, Steve, Thomas, Peter, and John Koleno.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Church in Clarence with the Rev. L'ubomir J. Strecok officiating. Burial will be at the Saint Michaels Cemetery.
