June A. Johnson, 92, of Newton, NJ, died Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Bristol Glen Nursing Home, in New Jersey.

Born June 15, 1924, in Port Jervis, NY, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lydia (Anderson) Cole.

On October 6, 1946, she married Roy H. Johnson who survives at Bristol Glen; they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

June enjoyed sewing and cross-stitch but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children; Luann Beresny (Gerald) of Boalsburg, Gary Johnson (Lillian) of Columbus, NJ; one sister, Jackie Mackey of Port Jervis, NY; five grandchildren, Lisa Neiderer, Mike Beresny, Timothy Beresny, Emily Johnson, Sarah Schectel; four great-grandchildren, Mason Neiderer, Jillian Neiderer, Hannah Schectel, and Andrew Schectel.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral service will be held on November 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with The Pastor Theresa Heiser officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in June's name may be made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund 535 Smithfield St. Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
