Kathie Jo Comly, 52, of Bellefonte, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born on August 3, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Blaine H. "Homer" and Betty Nellis Comly.
She was a graduate of Bellefonte High School in 1973, had attended the South Hills Business School, and obtained a degree at Empire Beauty School. She was previously employed at Penn Tran Corporation in Bellefonte.
She was a member of the Nittany Valley Alliance Church in Mingoville and was a volunteer of the Bellefonte Youth group.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, loved yard sales, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Katlyn Nicole Comly of Bellefonte; two brothers, Ken Comly and his wife Maxine of Loganton, and Tom Comly and his wife Rose of Julian; two sisters, Donna Miller and her husband Rick of Howard, and Mary Walters and her husband John of Julian; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services P.C., 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Dave Govak officiating. Internment will be private at the Centre County Memorial Park.
