Kathleen F. Emerick, 90, of Pleasant Gap died on August 26, 2017 at her home in the Oaks in Pleasant Gap, PA. She was the wife of the late Eugene E Emerick who passed away in December 1995.

Born September 20, 1926 in Media, PA and was the daughter of Julius and Elizabeth Fillippi. She graduated from Media High School in 1944 and in 1946 received her diploma in Medical Technology from the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She enjoyed her work as a technologist and did so for 40 years, having worked at Centre County Hospital, State College Clinical Lab and Ritenour Health Center at Penn State where she retired in 1988.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte for 50 years.

She is survived by a daughter Shirley E Hughes, son in-law Timothy R Hughes both of Severna Park, MD, grandson T. Christopher Hughes of Washington, DC, and sister Margaret Lambdin of Media, PA. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
