Kathleen "Kay" Lucille Robinson, 100, of State College, died Wednesday, October 5, 1905 at Outlook Pointe in State College.
She was born May 19, 1905, in Ansonville, PA; a daughter of the late Lewis L. and Margaret Alma Ruffner Hile.
In 1927 she married P. J. Robinson who preceded her in death in 1963. Ms. Robinson was a 1924 graduate of Altoona High School and a graduate of Bechley College in Harrisburg.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was a public school teacher in Elk County for two years, and librarian at Penn State University for fifteen years.
She was active with Meals on Wheels and deeply involved in the University Baptist and Brethren Church where she was a member for many years. She was also an avid Bridge player. In addition to being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she developed numerous loving and lasting friendships in her life time.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by a daughter, Patricia R. Tingue and her husband Lynn B. of State College; a son Robert L. Robinson and his wife Jan E. of Hockessin, DE; six grandchildren, Pamela Kay Artman, Steven K. Stearns, Michael R. Tingue, Lisa M. Tingue, Daniel B. Tingue and Matthew R. Robinson and four great grandchildren, Drew and Kathleen Artman and Benjamin and Madeline Stearns. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley R. Stearns.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p. m. Sat. Oct. 15, 2005 at the University Baptist and brethren Church 411 S. Burrows St., State College, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the University Baptist and Brethren Church, 411 Burrows St., State College, PA 16801.
