We lovingly remember Kathryn Mae Matter Schultz, 69, of Zion, PA, formerly of Harrisonburg, VA, who died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1935, a daughter of the late Garman A. and Renna Heckman Matter.
On January 16, 1960, she married Willis O. Schultz who survives at home.
She graduated from Centre Hall-Potter High School in 1953. Early in life she worked at People's National Bank in State College. Most of her life she devoted to being a great wife, mother, and homemaker.
Earlier in life she was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall, and most recently attended Zion United Church of Christ. She especially enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Shelley A. Schultz Davidson and her husband, Dennis, of Lowell, Indiana; three sons, David C. Schultz and his wife, Gina, and their two sons, Matthew and Bryan, of Broadway, VA; Douglas J. Schultz of Bellefonte, and Scott R. Schultz of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Donald E. Matter and his wife, Cleo, of Centre Hall, and Richard H. Matter of State College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret L. Woods, and a brother, Robert K. Matter.
Friends will be received from 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2004, at the funeral home with the Rev. Warren Somers officiating.
