Kenneth J. Roan, 75, of Bellefonte died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Altoona Hospital.
He was born on August 3, 1932 in Benner Twp, Bellefonte, a son of the late Arthur P. and Catherine (Kline) Roan. On December 3, 1955 he married Joan R. Williams, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a Construction Worker for Local #824, Bellefonte, retiring in 1994.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of the VFW Post #1600 and a life member of the Undine Fire Company, all of Bellefonte.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Roan (Marti) and their children, Bryan and Daniel all of Bellefonte; a brother, Harold L. Roan of Snow Shoe; two sisters, Anna Margaret Seyler of Mill Hall and Bonna Jane Seyler of Clintondale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur J. Roan and a sister, Rhoda Haupt.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p. m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Barry Folmar officiating. Interment will then follow at the Pine Hall Cemetery in State College.
