Kenneth J. Smith, 61, of Howard, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at his residence.
He was born January 12, 1946 in DuBois, a son of the late Jessie Elwood and Dorothy Mae Noal Smith.
He was married to Barbara Ann Deary on May 27, 1972, who survives at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Andrea Smith and her husband Scott Lingle of Howard; one son, Kevin Smith and his wife Jennifer of Julian and their two children, Dylan and Dru; two sisters, six brothers.
Kenneth graduated from Butler Area High School. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from January 9, 1964 to Sept. 12, 1969. He was an Airborne Radio Operator during the Viet Nam War, earning the rank of Sergeant.
He was employed as a service manager for Best Line Equipment Company.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, and enjoyed fly-tying.
At his request, service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
