Kent Merriman Sprague, 61, of State College, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College, following a lifelong battle with Spastic Cerebral Palsy.
He was born Nov. 9, 1945 in San Francisco CA, the son of the late Howard B. and J. Barbara Stetson Sprague.
Kent graduated from High School in 1964 and from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, in 1968.
In spite of his physical limitations he was able to attend to his own business affairs, and loved working with computers, listening to books on tape, watching television, traveling and loved Christmas.
Early in life, he was a member of Cub Scout Pack 33 in State College. He attended the State College Free Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the State College Free Methodist Church, 848 Science Park Road, State College, PA. Following his direction, a private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family, at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the State College Free Methodist Church at 848 N. Science Park Rd., State College, PA 16801
