Obituary

Kevin L. Stiver, 58, of Boalsburg lost his battle to cancer on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Juniper Village at Brookline.

Born July 5, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Richard "Dick" W. and Sarah "Sally" F. (Goss) Stiver.

On June 5, 1982 he married the love of his life, Lori (Keene) Stiver, who survives at home. They recently celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Kevin was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and the Centre County Vo-Tech with a certificate in basic electronics.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He did his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and completed technical training in Illinois. He was stationed at Vandenbergh Air Force Base in California where he was a Minuteman 2 Trainer Specialist.

Kevin was an electrician at Chemcut/Atotech, he was the owner of K. L. Stiver Construction, and a maintenance technician for the Meadows in Centre Hall. Most recently he was the maintenance technician at Geisinger Scenery Park, surrounded by co-workers he loved in a position he thoroughly enjoyed.

He was a member of the Boalsburg Fire Co. He enjoyed fly fishing and tying flies, hunting and going to the family cabin, riding his bike, woodworking and watching NASCAR and football.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons; Brandon Lee (Kim) of Dallas, TX, Nicholas C. of Boalsburg; five siblings, David W. (Connie) Stiver, John F. (Barbara) Stiver, Chrissie S. (Tim) Harter, Tawnya R. (Mike) Fedor, and Brad R. (Shannon) Stiver; mother-in-law, Jean D. (Dashem) Keene; brother-in-law, Robert R. Jackson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lee and Maude (Shilling) Stiver; maternal grandparents, John F. "Bud" and Helen (Thomas) Goss; a sister, Keppy M. Stiver; father-in-law, Robert L. Keene; grandparents-in-law, Nestor W. and Amber L. (Rishel) Keene; sister-in-law, Pamela J. Jackson, and a nephew John D. "JD" Stiver.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828. The service will be private and at the convenience of the family at Boalsburg Cemetery.
