Obituary

Lavonne D. Struble, 69, of Boalsburg, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, following a long and courageous battle with Diabetes and kidney failure.
She was born October 6, 1936, in Tusseyville, a daughter of the late John A. and Dorothy Marie Meyer Weaver.
On Dec. 4, 1954 she married William "Bill" H. Struble who survives at home.
In addition to her devoted husband of more than 51 years, she is survived by two sons, John W. Struble of Centre Hall, and the Reverend Todd A. Struble of Statesville, NC; one sister, Barbara A. Gervinski of Foxpointe, State College; 3 brothers, Richard N. Weaver of Pennsylvania Furnace, Ronald J. Weaver and D. Dean Weaver both of Bellefonte; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Struble was a homemaker who especially enjoyed working with flowers.
She was a member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, State College, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday, August 19th at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3601 S. Atherton St. State College, PA, with her son the Reverend Todd A. Struble, and the Reverend Robert Loring officiating. Friends will be received in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service. Burial will be at the family's convenience in the Boalsburg Cemetery, Boalsburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Dialysis Center, 3901 S. Atherton St. State College, PA 16801 or to Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3601 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801
