Lillian V. Preston born January 25, 1924, died on May 10, 2017 in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.

She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Elwood and Lillian Chalfont, both deceased. She graduated from Frankford High School. She married Thornton Edward Preston on September 13, 1947, whom is deceased.

Lillian worked as a bank teller at several different banks in the Philadelphia area and the Jersey Shore. She loved singing with the Sweet Adelines and was in the Bux-Mont, Island Pines and Toast of Tampa choruses. Lillian and her husband spent most of their life living in Hatboro, PA, retiring to Manahawkin NJ, then Inverness, FL. After her husband's death she moved to The Oaks in Pleasant Gap, PA, and later was a resident at the Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg.

Lillian is survived by a son, Edward (Donna), of State College. She has two grandchildren, Jonathan, of Bellefonte and Nicole of Hanover, PA; two greatgrandchildren, Carter and Marlee; and one brother Robert (Judy) of VA. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bud, John and Roy Chalfont, and one sister Ginny Bender.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the Mt. Nittany UMC where Lillian was a member. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Altoona. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research.

Services have been entrusted to the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, State College.
