Linda Pennypacker, 62, of Sterling, VA; died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence .
She was born June 4, 1952, in Bellefonte, a daughter of LeRoy Tressler who survives in State College, and the late Betty Crust Tressler.
On June 1, 1979 she married Ronald J. Pennypacker who survives at home.
Linda graduated from State College High School and in 1978 earned a certificate in Business Administration from South Hills Business School in State College.
Following her graduation from South Hills, she was employed in the printing and publishing division of the former HRB Singer Corporation. She was later employed by Drover's Bank in York, Pa and in the Youth Advocate Program at York as an administrative Assistant. She went on to serve as the Secretary for the director of the York County Youth Detention Center. Linda also was a co-owner and operator of Total Crafts Stores most recently in Chantilly, VA
Among the things she enjoyed most were vacations to the beach, bicycling, swimming, playing softball, playing bingo, scrapbooking, camping and Suduko puzzles.
Surviving Mrs. Pennypacker in addition to her father and husband is a daughter Sheryl M. Kline and her husband Douglas of Dallastown, PA a son Travis T. Pennypacker and his wife Wanda of Mt. Wolfe, PA; five grandchildren, Marlea and Chaz Kline, Alysha Pennypacker, Kayla McKinney, and Morgan Schaeffer and one great grandchild, Alex Wilson ; three brothers, Dick Tressler (Betsy) of Reedsville, Jim Tressler (Sharon) of Lewistown, and Dan Tressler (Sherri) of State College and a sister in law Jean Tressler.
She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister Brenda, and a brother Gene
Friends will be received from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 1:00 p. m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Andrew Cooley officiating. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, rural Bellefonte.
