Obituary

Linda L. Homan 72, of rural Centre Hall, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, April 10, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Mount Nittany Medical Center State College.

She was born April 12, 1942 in Tusseyville, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen I. (Hutzley) Weaver.

On June 12, 1960, she married the love of her life Claude M. Homan who survives at home.

Linda was a graduate of Penns Valley High School, class of 1960. She was also a homemaker who assisted on the family farm.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg and the Ladies Auxiliary of Centre Hall. Earlier in life she served as a pianist at Emmanuel Union Church in Tusseyville.

Among the things she enjoyed most were baking bread and wedding cakes, decorating cakes, sewing, doing crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and especially attending Grange Fair. She also enjoyed going to tractor pulls where her husband, daughter and grandson were involved. The strength of her faith was a notable characteristic of Mrs. Homan.

Surviving Linda in addition to her husband is one daughter, Patty Ann Thompson and her husband N. Roy Sr. of Spring Mills; two grandchildren Casey Grandy (Daniel); and Neal Jr.; and one great granddaughter Reagan Ann Grandy; two sisters, Carol Dillon (Rudy) of Pennsylvania Furnace, and Rosalie Fetterolf (Dennis) of Aaronsburg; one brother, Robert Weaver of Port Matilda.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Jean Homan on January 9, 2011; one sister Violet Brooks and three brothers, David, Kenneth, and Larry.
