Lisa M. Millinder, 37, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born on February 17, 1974 in Mount Lebanon, PA, she is a daughter of Mark Kreisler of Midlothian, VA and Ricarda (Meis) McNulty of Pittsburgh PA.
Lisa was a graduate of North Allegheny High School and also had attended Penn State University, Beaver Campus. She was employed at Penn State University, Office of the Physical Plant as a Work Reception Coordinator until July 2007.
On July 29, 2000, she was married to Larry M. Millinder, who survives at home. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by four children, Ashleigh R. Millinder of Pleasant Gap, Ali S. Kreisler-Wagner of Pleasant Gap, Michael T. Millinder of State College, and Allissa P. Millinder and her fianc Matthew Snyder of Port Matilda; one sister, Laurel Davis and her husband Rich of Charlotte, NC; and the following seven grandchildren: Ruby Davis, Cassandra Coleman, Kyler Anderson, Katalina Millinder. Elena Anderson, Gabriel Millinder, and Eric Snyder.
Lisa, also affectionately known as Laylu by all of her grandchildren, was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that anyone could ever ask for. She loved everyone unconditionally and was the glue that held our family together.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2012 and from 10 AM until the time of the funeral services on Monday, January 30, 2012 from the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, beginning at 12 Noon, from the funeral home, with the Rev. Fr. Matthew Baum officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lisa's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, PA 16801.
