Lois E. Corl, 75, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her residence.
Born on April 14, 1934 in Walker Twp., Centre Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Rossman) McAllister.
On July 5, 1953, she was married to James A. Corl, who preceded her in death on September 11, 1971.
She was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School.
Earlier in life, she worked for Centre Engineering and was also a short-order cook for Sunset West and Carmel Restaraunt, but her greatest work laid in raising her three sons on her own.
She enjoyed working on cross-word puzzles and learning about Indian Culture.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Corl and his wife Melanie of Bellefonte, Jay Corl and his wife Pam of Donegal, and Gary Corl of Plainville, CT; one sister, Louise Grenoble and her husband Don of Spring Mills; one grandson, Dustin Corl; and one step-granddaughter, Ashley Sanford.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
