Lois Bernadette (Smith) Hamilton, 93, formerly of State College, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Born January 22, 1931 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Allen M. and Amy A. (Glass) Smith. On June 10, 1950 she married Paul D. Hamilton, Sr.; they remained married until his passing in 1986.

Lois was a 1949 graduate of State College Area High School. She went on to work in retail until her retirement in 1990. Lois was a pet lover who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with family.

Along with her parents and husband of 36 years Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Hoke. She is survived by her son, P. David Hamilton, Jr. (Vicki) of Centre Hall, PA; daughter, Janice Lansberry (Anson) of Clearfield, PA; grandsons, Paul Lansberry (Melanie) and Joe Lansberry (Alisha); great-granddaughter, Josephine; step-granddaughter, Keri Dillman and step-great-grandson Maddox Dillman.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 11:00am – 12:00pm with a memorial service immediately following at 12:00pm at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. Inurnment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lois' honor to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
