Obituary

Lois Homan passed away peacefully at Valley View Haven, Belleville, PA with her daughters by her side., Monday, April 13, 2015.

She was born Nov 27th, 1916 in Vira, PA. Predeceased by her parents Nellie and Albert Stuck, was raised
by grandparents Wilbert & Margaret Johns. She was predeceased by one brother Richard Stuck and
cousin Prof. Donald Bersinger with whom she was raised.

Lois married Russell L. Homan Dec. 5. 1935, now deceased.

Beloved wife and mother, Lois was predeceased by infant son Russell David and by
daughter Debra Lynn.

Surviving are two daughters Dona R. O'Hara (Michael) of State College, and
Denise K. Sweitzer (Ronald) of Centre Hall. O'Hara grandchildren David (Elizabeth), Scott (Jennifer),
Douglas (Christina) Dena Whipple (Steven). Sweitzer grandchildren R. Richard (Victoria), and Ryan
(Laura). O'Hara great grandchildren Rachael, Shane, Ryan, Megan, Kaitlin, Emily, Nicholas, Brady,
Samuel, Macy, & Cooper Whipple. Sweitzer great grandchildren Kelsey, Colby, Landon, Hailey, and
Wyatt Lowery.

Lois & Russell devoted their time to caring for their precious Debbie. Lois worked in
the family-owned bread delivery business, & Grange Fair Food Stand for 30 yrs. She also worked in the
Centre Hall US post office, Civil Service Census Taker, & retired from PSU Pattee Library in 1985. She
was musically talented vocally, playing piano, organ, violin and sang at PSU Old Main as a child. She
loved & enjoyed her UCC church family, bowling, crossword puzzles, traveling & was an avid PSU
football fan.

Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p. m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and
Cremation service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA; and from 10 to 11 am Saturday, April 18, at Trinity United Church of Christ, South Pennsylvania Ave. and E. Ridge St., Centre Hall. The funeral will follow immediately at 11 am with the Reverend David Downer officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, P. O. Box
212, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
