Louise Sims Hickok, 82, of Madisonburg, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born September 14, 1935 in North Versailles Township, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Lorna J. (Schaefer) Johnson.

On May 28, 1956 she married Thomas Edward Sims who preceded her in death on January 13, 1990.  On October 14, 1998 she married The Rev. Fred C. Hickok, who survives.

Louise was a member at large in the United Methodist Church.

In her younger years she was an Elementary school teacher.  Louise was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and being deeply involved in church activities, gardening and crocheting.

In addition to her husband Fred, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. Beben  (Drew) of Madisonburg and Karen L. Williams (Richard) of Killeen TX; a daughter-in-law, Ann Sims of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren,  one great granddaughter and one step granddaughter.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one son, Mark C. Sims, one sister, Elaine Sisson; and a brother, James Johnson.

Friends will be received from 10-11 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Madisonburg United Methodist Church, Madisonburg Pike, Madisonburg,  A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with the Reverend Valerie M. Delooze officiating.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
