Lucy S. Walker, 86, of Boalsburg died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born August 1, 1932 in Lemont, she was the second daughter of Ralph and Pearl (Fishburn) Sweeny.

On June 16, 1951 she married William "Bill" Walker, who preceded her in death August 13, 2000.

Lucy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Boalsburg.  She worked at Penn State University for many years as a part time secretary and was a volunteer in the pharmacy at Mount Nittany Medical Center.  Family was her main priority; she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by one son, Paul W. (Karen) Walker of State College; one daughter, Diane W. Chambers of Maryland; four grandchildren, Andrew (Kate) Walker, Allen (Malea)Walker, Lauren (Martin) Maier and Colin Chambers; three great grandchildren, Madelyn and Cameron Walker and Dylan Maier; a sister,  Janet (Roy) VanGilder and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Ralphie Walker in 1995 and a sister, Evelyn Homan.

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday, July 5, 2019 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral service will be 9:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 218 N. Church Street, Boalsburg with The Reverend John Sleitz officiating.  Interment will follow in Boalsburg Cemetery.
