Madeline "Peg" Alice Royer, 88 of Cente Hall, died Monday, June 30, 2003 at the Wynwood House in Centre Hall.
She was born October 22, 1914, in Centre Hall, PA, a daughter of the late Newton and Mary Fetterolf Emerick.
On January 30, 1937 she married John Nevin Royer who preceded her in death, Sept. 1, 1980.
Mrs. Royer was a 1932 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter High School.
She was a beautician and worked for the telephone company for 7 years. She later worked at Penn State University for 21 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Centre Hall. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting for other people and making her own clothing.
Surviving are one daughter, Billie Lou Faust, of Gilbert, Arizona; 2 grandchildren, Michaele and Timothy; 5 great grandchildren; Chad, Sarah, Savannah, Kyle, and Nichole; also two sisters, Marie Bressler of Florida, and Dorothy Daily of New York. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George and Eugene Emerick.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p. m., Sunday, July 6, 2003 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall, PA.
