Mahlon H. Poorman Sr. 83 of Tusseyville, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born December 16, 1932 a son of the late Toner "Jim" G and Phoebe Spencer Poorman.
Mahlon served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed as an electrician having worked for HRB and Jack Frost Construction.
Mr. Poorman was a member of The Free and Accepted Masons, Old Fort Lodge # 537, Centre Hall, and a member of the Eastern Star.
He married Mary Emma Houtz Poorman on April 27, 1963; who preceded him in death October 11, 2011.
Surviving Mr. Poorman are three daughters, Jaunette Matis (M. Todd) of Spring Mills, Kathena P. Joseph (Jeffrey) of Dallas TX and Deborah Kennedy (Dennis) of Petersburg; one son Mahlon H. Poorman Jr. (Susan) of Spring Mills; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son Gary Poorman.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6 -7:30 p m; at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 pm; followed immediately by a Masonic conducted by members of Old Fort Lodge 537. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Emmanuel Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery at Tusseyville.
