Margaret "Peg" C. Harpster, 87, of Pine Grove Mills, died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at her home.
She was born June 28, 1916, in Osceola Mills, PA, a daughter of the late Edward and Rhoda M. Buck Dunkle.
On June 10, 1933, she married Charles E. Harpster who preceded her in death on September 15, 1997.
Mrs Harpster was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening.
She was a member of Pine Grove Mills Presbyterian Church, The Valley Friends of Pine Grove Mills, and the Ferguson Township Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the Rebekahs.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy L. Homan and her husband Harold; one son, Richard L. Harpster and his wife, Donna, of Centre Hall; two brothers, John and Edward Dunkle both of Tyrone; three grandchildren, Thomas Homan, Pamella Meyers, and Richard Homan; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her care giver for the past nearly two years, Reva Hines and her daughter Jennifer, who resided with Mrs. Harpster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Foster and Marie James; and one brother, Richard Dunkle.
Friends will be received from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall, PA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2004, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl D. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Graysville Cemetery.
