Margaret "Dolly" Hastings, 93, of Centre Hall, died Monday, January 5, 2009, at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
She was born May 24, 1915, in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late John F. and Edith Ann Lloyd Myers.
On May 11, 1932, she married Carl M. Hastings, who preceded her in death December 7, 1982.
Mrs. Hastings attended Calvary Bible Church, at Centre Hall. She enjoyed crocheting and raising flowers.
Dolly is survived by her daughter Marjorie Dunlap of Centre Hall; two grandchildren, David Dunlap and his wife Sherri of rural Pleasant Gap, Barbara Martinez and her husband George of Fredericksburg, VA; five great grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Michelle, Jessica and Dylan; and a daughter in law Elaine Hastings of State College.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Ronald E. Hastings, August 3, 2005; and by a grandson Michael K. Dunlap, July 2, 1988, and a son in law Fred Dunlap, June 24, 2004; two brothers Clarence and Merrill Myers, a sister Lena Callahan, and a half sister Anne Durkee.
At her request there will be no public visitation. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Calvary Bible Church, 600 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, with Pastor Richard Gilbaugh officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
