Maria A. Bayletts, 58, of State College, died Thursday, February 5, 2015; at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA

She was born October 5, 1956 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late George and Esther Mackerith Manis.

On January 8, 1977 she married David Bayletts who survives at home.

Maria was a 1974 graduate of State College High School.

She worked at Penn State as a secretary and later at Geisinger Medical Group as an administrative Secretary.

Mrs. Bayletts was a member of St. Albans Anglican Church, Pine Grove Mills. She was an avid and accomplished baker having baked many cakes for special occasions including weddings, birthdays and other special events. Among the things she enjoyed most, and accomplished with great skill, was doing word and numbers games.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one son Nathan Bayletts (Katie) of Philadelphia; and two sisters, Juaina Manning of State College and Rudaina Al-Tikrity of Alaska.

Friends will be received from 7 to 8 pm Monday, February 9, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 8:00 p. m. with the Most Reverend Council Nedd II, Phd and pastor Kenneth Codner officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College at the convenience of the family.
