Marietta E. Fogleman, 82, of Centre Hall, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Wynwood House in Centre Hall.
She was born December 18, 1927, in Buffalo Run, a daughter of the late David McKinny "Mack" and Mary Jane Shivery Shay.
On August 22, 1945, she married William "Bill" R. Fogleman who preceded her in death on May 8, 1998.
She had been employed for many years in the Housing and Food Services Division of the Pennsylvania State University, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of Milesburg Presbyterian Church, and after moving to Centre Hall was associated with the Nittany Baptist Church. Marietta was a former member of the Boggs Township Senior Citizens. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes.
Mrs. Fogleman is survived by one daughter, Linda K. Confer and her husband Alvin L. of rural Spring Mills, and one grandson Duane D. Confer of rural Spring Mills
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Annabelle Allen and a brother Robert Shay.
Friends will be received from 6 p. m. until 7 p. m. Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service follow at 7:00 p. m. with the Reverend Jody C. Reese officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte.
