Marjorie K. Keller, 87, of Spring Mills formerly of Continental Courts, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in State College.
She was born November 19, 1922 in Boalsburg, a daughter of the late Wayne E. and Grace Stone Keller.
On November 16, 1940, she married John E. Keller who survives at Hearthside in State College. On Tuesday, they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Marjorie graduated from Boalsburg High School in 1939.
Earlier in life Mrs. Keller worked at the former Children's Shop, was a clerk at OW Houts, a waitress at Duffy's, she ran the lunch room and the banquet hall facilities at the VFW, she also worked for Singer in the Westerly Parkway, State College, and proceeded to transfer to the Singer in the Nittany Mall. She then went to work at Penn State, and on June 29, 1988, she retired from the Penn State University Book Store as an account clerk.
Marge was an avid Penn State football fan, even traveled to see their bowl games.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Thomas W. Keller and his wife Doris of Spring Mills and John E. Keller Jr. and his wife Karen of Centre Hall; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, including two special great grandsons, Josh Mulbarger and Kyle Blachard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; James Keller and her twin Wayne E. "Gene" Keller.
Friends will be received from Monday, November 15, 2010 from 10 - 11 am at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 11 am with the Reverend P. Stevens Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in Centre Count Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College.
