Marjorie (Clymer) Lukens, 90, of Foxdale Village, died September 4, 2008 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William B. Lukens in 1995 and Melvin Kratz in 1947. Marjorie was born November 23, 1917, in Chalfont, PA. She was the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Laura (Weisel) Clymer. She graduated from Doylestown High School in 1935 and worked as a secretary for A. Oscar Martin & Son Architects in Doylestown until her marriage. Marjorie was a member of Central Schwenkfelder Church, Worcester, PA, where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Ladies Aid Society. She delivered Meals on Wheels and worked at Manna on Main Street in Lansdale, PA. She was secretary to the Board of Directors of Schwenckfeld Manor in Lansdale for many years. Marjorie moved to Foxdale Village in May 1997. She volunteered at the gift shop and after learning to knit at the age of 89, knitted baby caps for Mt. Nittany Medical Center. She attended State College Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the women's Bible Study group. She is survived by three sons, Wilbur (Will) C. Kratz and his wife Jan, of Macungie, PA, Gerald C. Kratz and his partner, Richard Colvig, of Oakland, California, and William B. Lukens and his wife, Cheryl Price, of Centre Hall. Three grandchildren, Ann Agosti, Amy Dell, and Matthew Lukens, and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Maya Agosti, also survive her. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008 in the Foxdale Village Community Center auditorium with the Rev. Joel Blunk officiating. A reception will follow the service.
