Mary E. Corl, 89, of Lemont, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at The Oaks in Pleasant Gap.

She was born May 21, 1931, in State College, a daughter of Fern and Mary (Shuey) Struble. On October 30, 1949, she married William K. Corl, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2018.

Mary was a beautician until she and her husband began Corl Coal and Oil, which operated from 1964-1972. After the sale of the business, she was a secretary at Penn State University in the Student Loans and Scholarship Department.

Mary enjoyed photography, gardening, canning, cooking for family and friends, and entertaining. She was a people person, an animal lover, a homemaker, and a wonderful wife and mother who will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her three children: William Corl Jr. of Lemont, Chris Murphy and her husband Dennis of State College, and Lynne Corl of Lemont.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ben.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Pine Hall Cemetery, State College.
