Mary M. Kessinger, 74, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 5, 2007, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
She was born April 3, 1932 in Aaronsburg, a daughter of the late Sumner and Mae Matilda Wingard Musser
On October 9, 1949 she married Alton "Duke" D. Kessinger who preceded her in death on January 11, 1993.
Mrs. Kessinger is survived by two sons, John R. Kessinger and his wife Kathy of rural Spring Mills and Sumner C. Kessinger and his wife Cindy of Centre Hall; three grandchildren Jamie Kessinger, Joni Kessinger and Janelle Bobb and four great grandchildren, Christopher Holliday, Emily Kessinger, Jetta Bobb and Justin Bobb Jr.; and a sister Betty Grenoble of Pine Grove Mills.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jimmy John Kessinger in 1974 and Marcy L. Kessinger in 1976; one sister Ethel Auman, and two brothers, Lester and Sumner Musser.
Mary was employed at the Hosiery Mill in Millheim and later at Gettig Engineering in Spring Mills, where she worked until her retirement.
She attended the Penns Valley God's Missionary Church near Spring Mills.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and attending yard sales and flea markets.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at God's Missionary Church Route 45, Spring Mills, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p. m. at the church with the Reverend Gabriel Morley officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Millheim, PA
