Mary Lynda "Lynn" Williams, 78, of State College passed away May 12, 2025. She was born March 25, 1947 in Durham, NC to the late James C., Jr. and Mary A. (Bryan) Williams.

Lynn was a 1965 graduate of Penncrest High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bucknell University in 1969 and her Master of Social Work from Marywood University where she was heavily involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed many years as an elementary school teacher.

Lynn was an active member of Berean Baptist Church, Centre Hall, PA and Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, singing and taking care of animals.

Along with her parents Lynn was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Terry Williams. She is survived by one brother, James B. Williams (Marilyn) of Williamsport, PA; one nephew, Christopher Dangle of Williamsport, PA; numerous cousins and other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm immediately followed by a memorial service, officiated by Pastor Drew Fenstermacher, at 2:00pm at Faith Baptist Church, 647 Valley Vista Dr., State College, PA 16803. Light refreshments will be provided following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lynn's honor to Centre County Paws.
