Obituary

Mary Annetta Reese, age 99, of State College, died January 25, 2009, at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College.
Born, July 26, 1909, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bernice (Yarnell) Tressler.
On August 13, 1927, she married David Abram Reese, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1988.
Mary was a crossing guard and a cook at the Lamont School.
She was a member of Spring Creek Presbyterian Church in Lamont and a Charter member of the Mount Nittany Rebecca Lodge.
Mrs. Reese enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was also one good cook whose main priority was spending time with her family.
Surviving are one daughter Donna Kisslak of State College; three sons: Edward Reese, William David Reese and his wife Mary L. of Bellefonte and David Abram Reese "Skip" of Virginia; two sisters; Edythe Richards of Bellefonte and Kathryn Ake of Massachusetts, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur "Spike" Tressler.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend David Meyer officiating. Burial will be private at Centre County Memorial Park
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church, Corner of Mulberry and St. Mary Street, Lamont, PA 16851.
