Mary L. Ross, 92, of Centre Hall, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at her home.
She was born December 27, 1912 in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late John and Mae Poorman Garver.
Mary graduated from Centre Hall Potter High School and from the nursing program at the Bellefonte Hospital.
On October 28, 1939, she married Glenn F. Ross, who preceded her in death on September 10, 1995.
Mrs. Ross was a registered nurse, having worked at the Hospital in Bellefonte, as a private duty nurse in the Centre Hall area, and for Dr. Wharen in his Centre Hall office.
She especially enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.
Mrs. Ross is survived by a daughter Joyce R. Saunders of Centre Hall and five grandchildren, Laurie Swanger, Julie Luse, Debra Scoular, and Craig and Brian Saunders; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son John R. Garver on October 22, 1993.
Friends will be received from 6:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, P.C., 226 S. Pennsylvania Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p. m. with the Reverend Taylor Potter officiating. Burial was in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, Centre Hall, PA.
