Mary Lee Ulmer died September 20, 2017. She was born in Salladasburg Pennsylvania. One of 6 children, of Floyd and Anne Ulmer. She later moved with her family to a farm near Pine Grove Mills. She graduated from State College High in 1942. She married Dave Ballenger when he returned from the war. Dave preceded her in death in 1962. Mary Lee remarried and moved out of the area after her only son graduated from Penn State in 1969. Mary Lee worked at Penn State prior to her departure for Arizona. She then moved to Florida and later retired near her brother Kaye.

In 2014 she moved to State College and resided at Brookline Memory Care, then Greenhills Village. After an injury requiring surgery, she moved to Hearthside Rehabilitation facility.

She is survived by one brother Tom Ulmer and her son Ted.

There are no services at her request. She was buried next to her 2 husbands in Memorial Park on Benner Pike State College, and near other members of her State College Family.
