Matthew "Matt" Lancaster, 70, of State College, PA, died peacefully on Friday, June 12th, 2026 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on July 12th, 1955, Matt was the son of the late Otis and Hildreth (Herald) Lancaster. Matt was preceded in death by his older sister, Patricia Lancaster, who died on March 18, 2013. Matt was loved and cherished by his support staff and "extended family" at Skills in State College. He was a huge Penn State fan and found immense joy in buying shoes, watches and bracelets and sharing his collection with everyone around him. One of Matt's favorite pastimes was riding horses, taking long, scenic rides with his friends from Skills and he had an artistic flair for drawing, painting and coloring. Matt will long be remembered for the love and care he provided for his 2 cats, Athena and Sophia. Remember Matt with a smile. All funeral arrangements are private. Matt will be laid to rest at Centre County Memorial Park in State College.
