Maxine Ruth Dickson, a former resident of State College, PA, for thirty five years, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007; at Outlook Pointe in Duncansville, PA
She had been a resident of Outlook Pointe in Duncansville, PA for approximately two years.
Maxine was born on June 27, 1916 in Lamar, PA, a daughter of the late George and Catherine Fleisher Lockard.
Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by her husband George, on January 27, 1976.
She was employed by the Pennsylvania State University for 15 years before retiring in 1981.
Maxine is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Howell and her husband Kenneth, of Hollidaysburg, PA and Sonya Potochney and her husband Robert, of Naples, FL; two grandchildren, Michael Howell and his wife Michelle of Port Matilda, PA, and Renee Best and her husband Brent of Altoona, PA; and great grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Howell, and Justin and Jordan Best; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters, Leora, Gladys, Dorothy, Ehtel, Beatrice and Mary; and one brother Roy.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a. m until noon on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at noon Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. George A. Burn officiating. Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
