Michael Reish Hommel, 79, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, in State College. Born October 1, 1946, in Lewisburg, he was son of the late Grant Palmer and Kathryn Hommel.

Michael was a graduate of State College High School Class of 1964 and received an Associate's Degree from Williamsport Community College.

He was a United Methodist, the Lewistown Moose, VFW Post #5825 Pine Grove Mills, Sons of the American Legion State College, and Harris Township Fish & Game. Michael worked as a bus driver and enjoyed traveling with his wife and their furry friend, Snoopy, in their motor home and going on cruises.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nancy Hommel; son, Brian Hommel; 4 grandchildren, Isabella Albano, David, Anthony, and Andrew Hommel; and one great grandchild on the way.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Haky Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home.
