Michael J. Mianulli, Born in Philadelphia, PA 1916, passed away Monday, April 02, 2007. Preceded in death by wife Mary Baum after 56 years of marriage, and son Alan. Survived by sons Michael (Jan) of Bellefonte, Marc (Faith) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter-in-law Susan (Groton, Massachusetts), seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Mianulli was a long time resident of Bellefonte and State College. Michael received his elementary and high school education in the Philadelphia catholic schools. He graduated from Penn State University in 1939 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, and spent his career in the brass, copper and aluminum industry, starting at Titan Metal Manufacturing Co. and its successor Cerro Corporation. Mr. Mianulli finished his career in Port Huron, Michigan with the Mueller Brass Company, where he was national marketing manager prior to his retirement and return to Centre County. Mr. Mianulli was very active in numerous professional metallurgy societies, and served on multiple national policy, standards, leadership and award committees. His extensive knowledge, experience and long-standing relationships in the metals industry garnered great respect among his many colleagues. He was often called upon to mentor younger professionals in his field.
Mr. Mianulli was very active in the community. He was a member of the Bellefonte Board of Education for six years, and was a founding member of the Centre County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association where he served as its president for three terms as well as chairing its membership committee. He was a charter member of the Bellefonte Talleyrand Park Committee, as well as committees of the Boy Scouts of America and the Roland Curtin Historical Foundation.

Friends will be received from 10:00 until 11:00 a. m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. at the funeral home, with Monsignor Phillip Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA. A memorial mass will be at 10:30 a. m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with Monsignor Phillip Saylor as Celebrant.
