Michael "Mike" A. Royer, 50, of Centre Hall, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
He was born January 30, 1957, in Bellefonte, a son of the Dorothy Meyer Royer who survives in Centre Hall, and the late Harry E. Royer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Judith A. Taylor and her husband Calvin, of Centre Hall and one brother, William L. Haupt and his wife Nancy of Centre Hall; and his companion of many years, Star White of Centre Hall, and her children, Jeremiah and Joshua White
A sister, Bonnie J. Geise, preceded Mr. Royer in death, in addition to his father.
Michael graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1974.
He was employed at State of the Art Inc. at State College, as a Thick Film Production Manager and served as Safety Coordinator for the company.
An avid Penn State Sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching Penn State football and basketball. He also enjoyed reading and traveling.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a. m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Doctor Barry Folmar officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
