Mildred (Midge) M. Foust, 81, of Centre Hall, died Thursday, May 02, 2013, at Valley View Haven in Belleville.
She was born May 22, 1931, at Chester Hill; a daughter of the late Paul Fagan and Bessie Mae Kizer Swatsworth.
On April 8, 1948, she married Warren L. Foust, who preceded her in death July 5, 2009.
Mrs. Foust was employed as a retail sales associate in various area department stores, winning multiple sales awards; and was a successful Avon representative. She also assisted her husband in his automotive repair business.
Earlier in life Midge was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall, where she served as a children's Sunday School teacher for many years. More recently she attended Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall. She had a spousal membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1600 at Boalsburg.
Bowling was her favorite sport. She was a member of two bowling teams and won multiple trophies for her bowling skills through the years. Midge also enjoyed family gatherings and holidays, gardening, especially working with flowers; dancing; and working with ceramics and other crafts, and decorating.
Surviving Mrs. Foust is a daughter Sharon L. Miller and her husband Todd of Dover; two sons, Wayne A. Foust and his wife Dianne, and Stephen L. Foust and his wife Carolyn both of Centre Hall; four grandchildren Warren Miller and his wife Kristen, Petty Office 3rd class Christopher Miller and his wife Kristen; Michelle C. Collison and her husband Dr. Craig Collison, Heather Zimmerman and her husband First Sergeant Donald Zimmerman; and seven great grandchildren, Klay, Carl; Taylor, Chase, Caroline, Lydia and Warren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by seven siblings; Vaughn, Estel, Marvin, Lelia, McBride, Paul and Eleanor, earning her the distinction of the last survivor in her generation.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8 p. m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall; and from 10:00 am until 11: 00 am Monday, May 6, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the church with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall, PA.
