Mildred Marie Styers Rowles Noll, 77, of rural Spring Mills, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Mildred was born January 27, 1938; in the same home she lived in her entire life, a daughter of the late Kenneth Styers and Carrie Neese. She was raised by her grandfather Ira Lingle.
On September 26, 1953, she married the late Charles Raymond Rowles. Seven children survive her, Linda (Larry) Solt, of Spring Mills, Charlene Moyer of Centre Hall, Betty (George) Neese of Spring Mills, Kenneth (Laura) Rowles of Smulton, Bonnie (David) Peffer, Chub (Holly) Rowles and Michael (Patti) Rowles; along with fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; half brothers Terry Styers, William Neese, George Neese, and David Neese and half sisters, Maggie Royer and Helen Sweeley.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a half sister Kathryn Peese.
In 1995 Mildred married John Noll who preceded her in death on December 6, 2013.
Mildred worked at Center engineering and CCor Electronics. Upon her retirement she worked for the Penns Valley High School as a teacher's aide, and loved working with teenagers.
Among the things she enjoyed most were crocheting, word puzzles, making homemade bread and cinnamon rolls, watching Jimmy Swaggert on TV and RFD; spending time on her front porch admiring the view of the valley, and spending time listening to her great grandson, Matthew's tall tales. She loved her dog, Ty.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA.
A memorial service will follow immediately at 11 at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.
