Mona Kay Taylor Gilligan, 55, of Boalsburg, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at her residence.
She was born July 18, 1960, in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Warren B. and Violet M. Pighetti Taylor.
She was married to Robert L. Gilligan who survives.
She loved animals, was skilled in many types of crafts, she enjoyed working with stained glass, painting, and had a deep appreciation for antiques. She especially loved designing and creating her own jewelry, knowing every beautiful gem stone by name and metaphysical properties.
Surviving are three children, Maria Gilligan of Boalsburg, Seth Fino of Phoenix, AZ, Isaac Gilligan of Bellefonte; two grandchildren, Chase Fino and Rylee Fino; four sisters, Connie Caprio of Centre Hall, Linda McCauley of Moorehead City, NC, Juanita Breon (Herb) of Julian, and Annette Marshall (Jeffrey) of Boalsburg; three brothers, Jessie Taylor (June) of Florida, Albert Taylor, of Centre Hall, and ClarenceTaylor (Patty) of Centre Hall.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Bruce Taylor and William Franklin Taylor.
Friends will be received from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A memorial service will follow at 8 pm at the funeral home, with the Reverend John Essy officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
