Nancy K. Barnes, 83, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Centre Care. She was the widow of Ralph Barnes.

Born March 14, 1942, in Runville, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Reese) Howell.

Nancy loved baking cakes, especially wedding cakes, and decorating cookies. She enjoyed crafts including cross stitch and was an avid reader. She has served as a deacon at Spring Creek Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Kevin Barnes (Valerie); daughters, Terri Barnes and Kathy Boonie (Kevin); a brother, Stacy Howell (Betsey); a sister, Mary Ann Breon (Kerm); 2 grandchildren, Andrew Tressler (Christina) and Ashley Worley; and 5 great-grandchildren, Landon, Carter, Austin, and Brooklyn Tressler, and James Worley.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 2 brothers, William and Kenneth Howell; a sister, Barbara Robinson; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Barnes-Worley.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 5, 2025, 12:00 pm, at Haky Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801 with Pastor Zac McDonald officiating. Viewing will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park.
