Nancy A. Forsythe, 68, of Bellefonte, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born April 10, 1949 in Spangler, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Ertter) Lieb. On October 7, 1972 at the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Carrolltown, she married Ronald J. Forsythe who survives at home.

Nancy received her Bachelors degree from St. Francis University, and then furthered her education at Penn State where she received her Masters Degree. She was an English teacher for a few years before she started working in retail. Nancy was a retail manager for numerous departments at Wal Mart, she worked there for over 18 years. She also managed Hagan Daz Ice Cream, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, and the Graham's Newstand Call, in State College.

Nancy was a member of the Master Gardener Program Penn State Extension, Bellefonte Garden Club and the Bellefonte Book Club. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden, and doing volunteer work at the Arboretum at PSU, Centre Crest, and the Bellefonte Children's Garden.

Along with her husband Ronald, she is survived by one daughter, Cynthia R. Tice (Michael) of Pleasant Gap; one son , Byron Forsythe ( Michele) of State College; two sisters, Catherine C. Beals, Sally L. Lieb, three brothers, James Lieb (Gloria), Thomas Lieb (Rebecca), Robert Lieb, three grandchildren, Calie and Alexzander Forsythe, and Tyger Lilly Tice.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to the Master Gardener Program, The Pennsylvania State University 323 Agriculture Administration Building, University Park, PA 16802, or the Bellefonte Children's Garden, 203 N. Allegheny St. Bellefonte, PA 16823.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
